The registration of foreign workers is a process that employers must undertake to express their intention to hire foreign labor. This is to ensure that the employment of foreign workers is in accordance with the law, in addition to entering into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) as per the resolution of the Cabinet. The government will announce the registration of foreign workers, depending on the case, for those who are stranded in the country and unable to make an MOU agreement. This will allow these workers to return to work legally, thus protecting the rights and benefits of foreign labor. This includes health checks, purchasing health insurance, applying for visas, and work permits. Therefore, the registration of foreign workers is something that employers must prioritize and ensure is done in accordance with the law. There are many workers fleeing war and illegal workers in the country, and the process of making MOUs with the countries of origin has faced significant delays. The government must act quickly to open registration in the country to ensure stability and security in labor management.
